10. 18-19 Kensington Gardens – $128 Million

The 55,000 square-foot home is the tenth on this list of the most expensive houses in the world. The estimated value of the 18-19 Kensington Gardens is roughly $128 million.

Located in London, England, the 18-19 Kensington Palace Gardens is home to the Indian businessman and billionaire, Lakshmi Mittal. The businessman is the Chairman & CEO of ArcelorMittal, the largest steel-making company in the world.

The past owners of the building include Lionel de Rothchild, David Khalili, Bernie Ecclestone before it was later sold to Lakshmi Mittal in 2004.

Being a pair of semi-detached buildings, the 18 and 19 Kensington Palace Gardens used to be buildings for the Egyptian and Russian embassies respectively. When David Khalili acquired the property in the 90s, he combined the buildings into a single private home.

18-19 Kensington Palace Gardens has 12 bedrooms, 20 parking spaces, an indoor pool and more than 2 Turkish baths.

Designed by Bob Ray Offenhauser, Palazzo di Amore is owned by Jeff Green, a wealthy real estate entrepreneur.

8. Ellison Estate – $200 Million

The Ellison Estate is a 23-acre Japanese-style estate which was built in 2004. The estate consists of 10 buildings, a tea house, a bath house, a koi pond, and a man-made lake.

Its design is in resemblance with that of a Japanese home; and it was designed by an architect and Buddhist teacher named Paul Dricoll. According to Forbes, the estate is one of the most expensive homes in the world in 2024.

7. Four Fairfield Pond – $248 Million

With an estimated value of $248 million, the Fair field Pond has made it to the list of the top 10 most expensive houses in the world. It is a large privately owned mansion in Hamptons, Long Island, New York, United States.

Four Fairfield Pond is a 62,000 square-foot mansion consisting of 29 bedrooms, 39 bathrooms and an extended 91-foot-long dining room. You will also find a basketball court, a bowling alley, tennis courts, squash courts and 3 swimming pools inside the Four Fairfield Pond. This home has its own power plant and has a massive garage which is enough to hold about 100 cars.

Built in 2003, Ira Rennert, a junk bond financier is the owner of Fair field, and the building is one of the largest homes in the United States.

6. The Odeon Tower Penthouse – $330 Million

Designed by architect Alexandre Giraldi and developed by Groupe Marzocco, the Odeon tower is largest penthouse in the world.

The 31,500-square foot building is a double skyscraper located in La Rousse/Saint Roman, Monaco. The Odeon tower is owned by SCI Odeon, a subsidiary of Groupe Marzocco.

Although not the most expensive house in the world, the Olden tower being the world’s most expensive penthouse is enough to get it the fame. In 2024, the Odeon tower is estimated to worth $330 million.

Originally, the house was built for Pierre Bernard, a French industrialist but was later acquired by Pierre Cardin, a fashion designer, as a holiday home.

Villa Les Cèdres was built in 1830 and was later acquired in 1904 by King Leopold II of Belgium.

The house is currently owned by Lily Safra, the wife of the late Lebanese-born Brazilian banker, Edmond Safra. Villa Leopolda has 11 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, a commercial greenhouse, helipad, and among others a swimming pool.

With a total of 18 acres, Villa Leopolda is among the biggest houses in the world. Its modern structure was designed and built from 1929 to 1931 by Ogden Codman Jr., an American Architect.

2. Antilia Tower – $1 Billion

The Antilia tower is the second most valuable home in the world after Buckingham Palace. Antilia is owned by Mukesh Ambani, an Indian billionaire business magnate. The skyscraper-mansion is estimated to worth $1 billion.

The palace has 775 rooms, which includes 92 offices, 78 bathrooms, and 19 state rooms. Cinema, Post office, swimming pool, and jeweler’s workshop are also some of the other things you would find in the palace.  When it comes to size, Buckingham Palace is 828,000 square ft, and its garden is around 40 acres, making it the largest private garden in London.
